![]() ![]() Is there a known problem with those PositiveSSL certificates from Comodo? And if so, can anyone recommend me another place to get a certificate from, I don't mind paying a little money for it, but then again it shouldn't be too expensive, I just don't want to connect to my devices without any encryption and want to avoid SSL warning. For testing I just got a free one of those which are valid for 30 days and the issue is still the same, which is strange, since the other one worked just fine for doing FTP and logging into the webinterface on my router. My own certificate is one I purchased from Comodo and is just a simple domain validation certificate they call PositiveSSL. I restored the default self signed certificate from QNAP and indeed connecting to the NAS via HTTPS works now, however of course I get warnings every time. The ports are all configured as you described, so nothing wrong there I guess. start with the Control Panel -> Security -> Certificate & Private Key -> Schumaku wrote:After double checking that the NAS Web Server service is not configured to 443 (it defaults to 8081) and ensuring the System Administration https port is set to 443. Is there anything else I need to configure, maybe some service that needs to run in the background? Port 443 is not blocked by my provider and it worked before when logging into my router over SSL but to be sure I tried setting up another port in the control panel and did forward it in the router but still no luck. I also tried the Qmanager app on iOS and tried to login via the phone network "from outside", no problem over HTTP, but as soon as I turn on SSL, the app can't connect to the server. Logging in without SSL works internally and from outside, however it never works over HTTPS, I just get a "page couldn't load" from my browser, tried both, Firefox and Chrome. ![]() The TVS-873 is on the latest firmware (did ask to upgrade to a 4.3 version right after the initial setup) and DDNS with No-IP works and I installed successfully my own SSL certificate (valid until 2019 and worked before with the FTP-server and webinterface of my router).Īccess over HTTP over port 8080 and HTTPS over port 443 are both activated and for both ports port forwarding is setup in my router. I am in the process of setting up my new QNAP TVS-873 and ran into a strange problem, seems I can only login to the webinterface via HTTP, what is fine as long as I am logging in from home, but over the Internet I would prefer doing it over SSL.
